Five Things for June (including a new poem and the best book I've read this year)
June Newsletter
Hello and goodbye to one of the best months of the year in Pennsylvania. A perk of living here (after the proximity to New York, Philly, and Jonathan Groff) is the seasons, and June does not disappoint.
Five good things on this last hot Monday. I wish you the brightest and best July. xo
I’m sick with love over this new novel from Annie Hartnett. It feels trite to say, “I laughed and I cried,” but truly I LAUGHED AND I CRIED. This is the book you need this summer. Perfect writing, impossibly tender. I wish I could read it for the first time all over again. Pictured below: Me evangelizing at poker night because if I’m in, I’M IN.
2. This Magic Show. I’m new to Justin William, but after a recommendation from my friend Mo, my family watched his latest special, Magic Lover, on vacation and we were obsessed. Now the kids can’t stop watching his TV series. We love a goof!!
3. Fresh ink. Every time someone messages me a photo of a tattoo they put ON THEIR BODY of my words, my heart stops. I’ve made a highlight on my Instagram page of all of them, but I wanted to say again here that it’s such an honor and privilege and I’m desperately in love with each of you.
4. A reminder from the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
5. A tiny poem from How About Now, previewed on one of my favorite Instagram accounts poetryisnotaluxury. Thank you for being here!!
You can pre-order How About Now here or where books are sold.
Jonathan Grofffff 😍
And ohmygoodness, those flamingo gals!! ☺️ #newlifegoal xo
Thank you for that cooling slice of poem. Loved Road to Tender Hearts! The audio book is "no notes" perfect. Great summer driving book. :)
